~Advertising Info~

Since I am taking steps to not only monetize the blog, but build a broader bridge between otaku and merchants (if possible), I’ve made the decision to begin advertizing on Finetoo.org. However, unsurprising, there are a few keynotes and stipulations:

Advertisements should be well targetted to Otaku/hobby related.
Banners can be animated, but preferably will not produce sound or run interstitial code.
Payment method is negotiable: Cash or Merchandise accepted.
I accept forwarded items for review/publication as well.
Payment for shipping for items negotiable.

Placement and Pricing of Banners
I’m flexible on banner placement and style. I can fit square advertisements ranging from 100×100 to 150×150 without difficulty, and I can also modify the layout of the blog to fit your banner anywhere. Price for zones varies, but I honestly don’t plan to charge much since this is a first iteration of advertisement. I want to be sure you guys get good bang for your buck.

Pricing is going to be kept simple.
The most expensive ads will be placed on front page at top or the ‘featured’ bar at the right.
The next most prominent position will be at the beginning/end of paged posts. I estimate the cost around 100-200 for 4 months, this number is very negotiable, so don’t let it scare you off if it’s high. This is the first time I do this so my numbers may indeed be excessive. I’m a businessman, and so are you guys, so have your people call my people… er… well… call me.

A few special notes:

If a merchant does business with me and it’s good business (like, clean advertising, good service etc), I will actively advertise in my video and text posts. I haven’t done so yet as I have no advertisers officially lined up, however allow me to give an example:

You ship item ‘a’ to me.
I will feature this item in a post (I tend to post about all the items I receive)
I will also talk about who sent it to me and the link on your site that a person can purchase it or find related material.

This is a good way to mobilize merchandise. It doesn’t have to be brand new items, I will gladly talk about stuff that’s been out for a few months and do reviews about the item. However, I will not lie about items - so poor quality items will not get a brilliant review. I will not lie to my fellow Otaku.
