Sasara Kusugawa : Sukumizu-Meido Edition!
Going to shamelessly follow in the footsteps of Super_Rats by making a sort of fanfic entry for the figure! His write ups kicks ass!
“Goshujin-sama… we are waiting for your order.” She had this direct and strong edge to her words even if her voice was as delicate as her features. Leaning forward ever-so-slightly and clutching that tray against her lap kind of makes me wonder how many people would have used the cliche line ‘I’ll have you!’ in the past. While the thoguht crossed my mind, I wasn’t going to say that, not unless I wanted tray splinters in my forehead…
She leaned in a little further, lips pursing together as I scanned the menu. I couldn’t help but my concentration break a good three or four times as I kept mumbling ’something sweet, something sweet’ to myself… there was indeed something sweet about a bodyhugging swimsuit, stockings, long wrist-bind gloves and a maid’s apron all rolled up into one lovely package. She probably noticed, given the little breath the used to clear her throat. “Cotton candy icecream sunday… choco-sauce and such…” closing my eyes and taking a breath, I hand the laminated menu back to her just before adding, “I’ll let you choose any other toppings.”
Her mouth was open - but I answered her question before she asked. There’s a smirk that crosses her lips and a certain, special ‘bounce’ to her as she bows in deep and quick before standing up straight. “Hai hai… yorokonde.” she responds in the classic waitress way, but there’s a distinct twinkle in her eye as she turns around and leads away to the counters. I get this sudden feeling of dread as I can’t help but think what kind of monstrousity of a dessert she will punish me with for coping those stares…
…I’ll definately have to come back to this cafe again…
Sasara Kusugawa is from the eroge series To Heart 2 (and Another Days), casted here in a lovely outfit consisting of a mix between maid-costume and school swimsuit. We have the gloves, stockings, headband, collar and dainty little shoes of the maid-fuku, slipped over a rather tight traditinonally blue Sukumizu (school swimsuit). Realized by Craftmanship Kotobukiya, this figure is scaled at 1/7 and stands at about 25cm tall.
The pose is tantalizing to say the least. Sasara has a nice curve to her back, which of course, serves to accentuate the rear angle and the chest, without surprise making her a fan favourite. The attention to detail is wonderful, the frills on the apron, headhand and even stockings and goes are all nice and uniform, and there are very few fade marks or pocks in the original cast. The apron-ties are cast in soft-form, meaning they are thankfully less prone to breakage, and the hair is cast lifted, so that one can easily see the more fanservice-shots, or if interested the detail on the bow tying the apron.
I decided to take the shots in the daytime since I still haven’t picked up my second full spectrum light yet. I’d like to think the shots turned out well! The ones posted here are resized for format, but I’ll have a link later on posted with larger resolution images. As much as I’d like to just dump them on flickr, I’m not super-skilled at this wordpress stuff yet and I can’t seem to get the flicker album plugins to work right. I took many shots with the 28-135mmIS, but I actually took out my old 18-55 wide angle for some good exposure too. I think it did well but you guys are the judge!
The lights really cast a strong reflection in the white apron but I did what I could to make it mild. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not so much.
She comes with a diorama display and a little placard in the back to give a sort of ‘feel’ to the figurine. Cute ensemble even if the placard’s image itself is a bit bland and kind of blurry looking. Still, the colors match decently well with the base and it gives a bit of atmosphere. It’s free, who can complain. It’s difficult to see in the photos but the interesting part of this figure is that it’s the first one I have seen in which the figure is actually BOLTED to the stand. I don’t know if this is an anti-leaning tactic or if it’s just because of the figure’s balance but it’s pretty sturdy.

Cast Quality Rating:

Very well casted. Paint is done in high quality, fine detail on wristcuffs and bands. No paint bleed. High attention to detail including ‘eyes’, as DannyChoo would say it. Very few defects visible at a quick glance.

Very cute, very naughty, and very Sasara all at the same time. Her hair is lovely, outfit nice and snug, and the crafter’s choice of niche/fetish catering is top notch. The stockings and shoes are a very nice touch, and they even thought of adding that extra-special detail to the chest and behind.

She’s made to catch the eye. The breasts are very pronounced, and even have definiton. If I didn’t know she was made of PolyVinyl Chloride I’d probably venture a guess she was assembled with the ingredients ‘ero’, ‘meido’, ‘fuwa’ and a light hint of ‘ecchi’.

super rats It’s a pretty hot figure. Sasara is like one of the few To Heart girls I actually know the name for.
Len-Vesper Indeed, other than… Ma-rayan I don’t really follow any other of the TH2 girls. Well, I know Tama-nee, cause 4chan has an obsession with ‘healthy-chan’, but she’s too aggressive in my opinion.
