Alright, a good find today!
As I wrote in my previous posts, I once had a few shots at taking pictures of my figurines which turned out to be … well they were ‘ok’ in quality but I still have a hell of a lot to learn about manual modes, lighting and priority. I found a nice little resource while searching online for some DIY goods for DSLR (or even just SLR) goers like myself. I’m not sure what the end result will be when I put these to use but it certainly can’t be a fall in quality. My pictures weren’t exactly fantastic to begin with, I really need to learn how stuff like this works.
The DIY Flash and Lighting Hacks is the page I found, has a number of cheap, relatively easy to create DIY lighting kits, which hopefully will be the solution to my biggest of primary obstacles. My home has sombre lighting by choice, as I have very sensitive eyes, so things are kept cozily dark. Most of my lights reflect this so I was caught unprepared when I went for my first pics. It also didn’t help that I had no macro lens.
Hopefully this will help people with their DSLR work as well!
