I support Anonymous in the fight against Scientology (bet you they don’t give a damn though!) XD

All in all I may be a single person behind a keyboard on the internet. And honestly Anonymous probably does not give a damn, but I am going to try and spread the word as much as I can. I support Anonymous. I was alone when I arrived in front of the local Scientology ‘Church’ here at 1996 1Re Avenue, in Québec City and along Rue St Joseph (just off of Rue Charest if anyone in QC wants to join me later this evening, but what does it matter if I’m alone or not, right?

There’s no local Scientology church here, and I unfortunately had no way to get to one anywhere else, but yesterday I did email my state’s congressmen urging them to remove Scientology’s tax exempt status.

If that’s the case why not go after other religious groups? I don’t know… maybe hte KKK?

You should read more about what Scientology does. It’s guilty of at least six, open (I assume there are dozens more not reported, given there are so many ’strange disappearances’ of their critics and members), human negelct murders; is guilty of robbing its users of their livelihoods and freedom; among countless acts of open, false censorship claims over the internet, and all of this done over the guise of a fully operational religion.

I mean hell, they enjoy benefits other religions don’t, it’s all about power brokering.

They simply must be dismantled.

O shi, I had to check my RSS feed for work (which almost never happens) and totally realized I still had your blog on RSS. Whee! Hi!

I have been following the Project Chanology thing for a while, and was actually pretty tempted to go to the Denver protest ;o; Scientology is terrifying shit. I’ve been reading about them for years, and while 4chan probably isn’t the group to take on Scientology, and they really need to stop the 4chan memes while they’re trying to protest, it’s still fun while it lasts.

And yes, supporting Len here with saying SCIENTOLOGY IS DANGEROUS. Yes, there are worse things out there. But some causes are worthy regardless. Scientology is pretty scary:

- They’re a cult, and they regularly demand ever-increasing amounts of money from their believers in exchange for salvation. Many of the people who died under Scientology’s care were found to have given every last penny to the church. This isn’t like normal religions, where donations are welcome: Scientology demands tens of thousands or even millions from its followers. (Yet it still claims non-profit status in many countries and is therefore tax-exempt.)

- They force members to cut off all contact with family members who don’t believe and people who leave the church. (This is a pretty classic cult tactic.)

- They have a well-documented history of trying to destroy detractors and people who leave the church. They normally bring together fraudulent legal claims and force people to bankrupt themselves through legal fees.

- They didn’t just “commit tax fraud,” they infiltrated the U.S. Government and manipulated and destroyed thousands of documents relating to Scientology and its founders.

And, yes, there are tons of high-profile murders and deaths. Scientology is terrifying shit.

Ellie, the next Denver raid is scheduled March 15th. The first one was pretty win, although there wasn’t much in the way of uniform solidarity. We sang Happy Birthday to Lisa McPherson at the end, and there was a Scientologist on the roof taking photos. The cops were very cool.

I’m picking up a black suit and red tie at a thrift store so I’m in “proper attire” for March 15th. The first one was fun despite the cold, and since then the Boulder and Denver raids merged, so we’re going to be bigger than last time.

(I’m not just some random Anon dude commenting, fyi, that’d be creepy. Friend of Len’s. Small world, eh?)
